Current inventory: As of the last updated date below, SME Procure does not use non-essential HTTP cookies for analytics, advertising, or social pixels. Authentication uses Clerk (strictly necessary). Dismissing the first-visit notice uses browser local storage, not a cookie. If we add non-essential cookies or trackers, we will list them here and use consent where UK/EEA law requires.

1. What this notice covers

This Cookie Policy explains how SME PROCURE LTD (“we”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our websites and applications. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Subprocessors page.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage or pixels where they serve a comparable purpose.

3. How we use cookies and similar technologies

  • Strictly necessary: To run the Service-including sign-in, session management, security, and fraud prevention. Our authentication provider is Clerk; it may set cookies or use storage as described in section 4.
  • Functional: To remember preferences you set in the product, where we offer such features.
  • Analytics / performance: We do not currently use third-party analytics or performance cookies (for example Google Analytics, Plausible, or in-product analytics SDKs that set non-essential cookies). If we add them, we will list the tools here and obtain consent where UK or EEA law requires before they run.
  • Marketing: We do not use marketing or advertising cookies on the Service. If that changes, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
  • Maps and location: When you use features that load Google Maps or Places (for example address search or a map), Google may use cookies or similar technologies under their policies. See our Subprocessors list and Google’s privacy information.

4. Authentication (Clerk)

We use Clerk for sign-in and account management. Clerk may set cookies or use browser storage to maintain sessions and protect accounts. See Clerk’s privacy and security information: https://clerk.com/legal/privacy.

5. Your choices

When you first visit our website, we may show a compact notice (for example in the bottom-left corner of the screen) about essential cookies with links to this policy and our Privacy Policy. Dismissing the notice stores your choice in your browser (local storage, not an HTTP cookie) so we do not show it again on that device.

You can control cookies through your browser settings (for example blocking or deleting cookies). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent where UK or EEA law requires (for example via a preference centre).

We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
